Libraries in the Greene County Public Library system have tax forms available in a variety of formats.
All library locations have free copies of federal and state tax forms, and most locations have municipal and school district forms. By early February, the widest selection of tax forms will be available in all locations. Some forms are available now.
Also in February, all locations will have a notebook of federal forms which can be photocopied for 15 cents per page. Federal, state, city and school district forms can also be printed for 15 cents per page from web sites accessible on the library’s Internet computers. For security reasons, the library does not recommend filing tax returns on library computers.
For people needing help with their taxes, trained volunteers from the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program will offer tax advice and assistance on a first-come basis at the Xenia Community Library, from January 25 through April 14 on the following days and times:
Mondays: noon-8 p.m.
Wednesdays: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. (except for March 17 when the service will be available from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. only.)
Fridays: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Saturdays: select Saturdays by appointment only. See a VITA volunteer for more details.
The Greene County Public Library system is available on the Internet at www.greenelibrary.info. The library system consists of seven locations: Beavercreek, Jamestown, Cedarville, Fairborn, Yellow Springs, Xenia and Bellbrook.
