Legacy Village Assisted Living New Memory Care Unit Now Open

The new memory-care unit of Legacy Village Assisted Living is complete and now open for the care of those with advanced stages of dementia and Alzheimer’s. The new unit, named Hope Hall, has 14 rooms, bringing the total LVAL rooms to 34, in addition to the 36 homes in the Legacy Village Independent Living community.

LVAL Administrator Rene Panosian, BSN, is thrilled to offer the unique ‘Rhythm of the Day’ approach to the memory-care residents. "This approach creates a daily-life rhythm that mimics the natural ebb and flow of the resident’s energy.  Residents experience a variety of activities with a rhythm that arouses, energizes, relaxes, refreshes and inspires," says Panosian.

Rhythm of the Day has a track record of enhancing life for persons suffering from acute memory loss.  The results of the program show a reduction in the occurrence of weight loss, agitation, and wandering.
Legacy Village Assisted Living is situated on the Legacy Center campus, formerly the Ohio Veteran’s Children’s Home. The LVAL staff provides housekeeping, laundry service, nursing care, meals, activities and outings on a lift-equipped bus to residents.

Legacy Village is one of several ministries of Legacy Ministries International. LMI's vision is to enhance the effectiveness of a broad range of distinct Christ-centered, biblically-based ministries worldwide; thereby reaching this and future generations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
