With “Business After-Hours", Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce is striving to create a welcoming and fun atmosphere for local business men and women who look to network and get to know other business people in their local community. Last Thursday, the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their first BAH at The Schindler Banquet Center.
Guest attendance reached almost 100 business men and women from the Xenia area and neighboring cities; one of the largest after-hours events in months! Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious hors d’oeuvres and beverages provided by Chef Klaas Lampe of The Schindler Banquet Center, and participated in a friendly competition of corn hole inside the banquet center. (When is the last time you played corn hole at a business event?!) Winners of the corn hole competition received door prizes varying from gift certificates to floral arrangements. While waiting for their shot at corn hole, business professionals exchanged business cards and contact information. These events are held on the second Thursday of the month to help solidify the unity of businesses in the Xenia area and for the people you meet there to walk away remembering your name and company profile.

Also new to the scene with the after-hours events hosted by the Chamber is “Bucket to Basket” raffle. Every attendee of the BAH is allotted to submit one business card per event, which registers them to win to the basket at the December 2010 BAH. The Basket consists of gift cards, cash prizes, entertainment tickets, and much more. The value of the Basket is already up to $1,200! You must attend BAH in order to enter your card and must be present at the December event to win the basket.
