Exciting and fun programs for people of all ages are being planned at the Xenia Community Library, 76 East Market Street.
February Story Times
Toddler Story Time for ages 2-3 will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Wed., Feb. 3, 10, at 10:30 a.m. Registration required.
Preschool Story Time for ages 4-5 will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Wed., Feb. 3, 10, at 10:30 a.m. Registration required.
Baby Story Time for ages 6-24 months will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Fri., Feb. 5, 12, at 10:30 a.m. Registration required.
February Children’s Programs
PAWS to Read, a program for all ages with an adult, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Thurs., Feb. 4, at 5:30 p.m. Read to a therapy dog. Registration required.
Make Valentine Cards, a program for ages 5-12, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Sat., Feb. 6, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Drop in and make a Valentine’s Day card.
A Chinese New Year Celebration for ages 4-8 will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tues., Feb. 9, at 4 p.m. Learn about Chinese New Year with stories, games and fun. Registration required.
CD Flowers, a program for ages 7-12, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Thurs., Feb. 11, at 4 p.m. Learn how to turn an old CD into a cute flower decoration. Registration required.
Tween Book Club for ages 9-12 will meet at the Xenia Community Library on Thurs., Feb. 18, at 4 p.m. Join our group to discuss the books you like to read. Registration required.
Get Your Game On! a program for ages 8-12, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Thurs., Feb. 25, at 4 p.m. Join the fun and games with the PS2, Wii, and Gamecubes. Registration required.
February Teen Programs
(for ages 12-18)
Anime Club for ages 12-18 will meet at the Xenia Community Library on Tues., Feb. 2, at 4 p.m. Watch anime and discuss favorites with friends. Permission slip is required; ask at the Youth Services Desk. Registration required.
Wii Got Game, a program for ages 12-18, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tues., Feb. 16, at 4 p.m. Join the fun and games with the PS2, Gamecubes, and Wii. Registration required.
Bottle cap necklaces, a program for ages 12-18, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tues., Feb. 23, at 4 p.m. Turn an old bottle cap into a unique piece of jewelry. Registration required.
February Adult Programs
(for ages 18+)
A Microsoft Word program for ages 18+ will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tues., Feb. 9, from 5-7 p.m. Learn to use Microsoft Office Word. Registration required.
An Introduction to the Computer for ages 18+ will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Wed., Feb. 24, from 10 a.m.-noon. Join the beginners’ course on computers. Registration required.
A Grant-seeking Basics program for ages 18+ will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tues., Feb. 16, from 5-7 p.m. The Foundation Center presents materials on grant-seeking.
Pets 101 – What You Need To Know Before You Adopt Your Next Best Friend, a program for all ages, Thurs., Feb. 4, at 6:30 p.m. Doctor veterinarian Matt Stonecypher discusses options available in pet adoption and breed varieties, and answers questions.
Hunters of the Sky, a program for all ages, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Sun., Feb. 21, at 3 p.m. Glen Helen’s Raptor Center brings in a falcon, red-tailed hawk, and a barred owl for their presentation on birds of prey.
Xenia Night at the Movies, a program for ages 18+, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Thurs., Feb. 18, at 5:30 p.m. Join us for a screening of a newly released DVD blockbuster.
