Greene County Children Services Hosts 2nd Annual Trunk-or-Treat night
Greene County Children Services (GCCS) will be hosting the 2nd Annual Trunk-or-Treat night on Wednesday, October 28th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
We encourage Greene County families to come out to the county parking lot at 601 Ledbetter Road for a safe, fun Halloween event.
Employees from GCCS, along with local law enforcement and other family-focused agencies will hand out treats to the children, as well as useful information to parents. “Last year’s Trunk-or-Treat was a huge success,” says GCCS Public Relations Specialist, J.J. Kunkle. “We literally had people lined up across the entire parking lot to participate. This year we hope to have even more community partners participating to make the event bigger and better than last year.”
Greene County Children Services is the county agency designated by law to provide for the care, protection, and placement of abused, neglected, and dependent children in Greene County. GCCS helps provide the support many families need to offer their children safe and loving homes. GCCS offers a spectrum of services from family assessment and support to temporary and permanent child placement through foster care, adoption, group home and independent living programs. Every day the agency assesses reports of abuse or neglect, collaborates with other organizations that serve children in Greene County, and helps families meet the needs of our community’s most vulnerable children.
