Xenia Merchants to Celebrate October First Friday with Live Entertainment, Great Food, and Special Events

The scent of Fall is in the air, Halloween is coming, and the merchants of downtown Xenia will be getting in the spirit of the season with their October First Friday celebration--5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday October 2nd.


The schedule of events includes:

•Whip Artistry Demonstration by Gary L. Deer in front of Uniforms Galore
•Ghost Story Telling and “Haunted Ohio” book and map sale at Blue Jacket Books
•Free Face Painting at Oasis Cafe
•Caramel Corn and Cider, Free Grab Bags, and 20% off $20 purchase if you wear a costume at Fox Antiques
•Live Music by Eddie Gilbert on West Main St., 7:00-9:00 PM
•Five-Dollar Massages, Free Beauty Tips, and Rock Your Socks Off DJ at CJ's Boutique
•Bobbing for Apples at Homemade Uniques
•Caramel Fountain with Apple Slices at Always Beautiful Salon
•Magic and Balloon Animals by Dave Davis on South Detroit Street
•Meet Miss Libby and pick up your "Libby" wax lips at the Liberty Tax Table
•Free Reflexology at Xenia Shoe and Leather
•Karaoke on the Lawn and Food Samples at the Holiday Inn
•Radio-Controlled Car and Plane Demos at X-Town R/C
•Silent Auction and Giveaways at The Flower Stop
•Llamas from Greene Acres Farm strolling around town
•Free samples of sweet treats at Sweets Boutique
•Sidewalk craft and food vendors

First Fridays is sponsored by the Xenia Area Merchants Association and will continue on the first Friday of each month in the Fall. The event is free to the public and to participating artists.
