Author Talk On the Natural Arches and Pillars of Ohio

Springfield resident Timothy Snyder will introduce his new book, Rainbows of Rock, Tables of Stone - the Natural Arches and Pillars of Ohio, Tuesday July 7th at 7:00 P.M.

While many people are familiar with Rainbow Bridge and the wonders of Utah's Arches National Park, few realize that a surprisingly large collection of interesting geologic oddities can be found east of the Mississippi. Often called natural bridges, chimney rocks, or devil's tea tables, they have played a significant role in local landscapes and mythologies. This is the first book to deal specifically with the natural arches and pillars of Ohio.

As always, the author talk is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
