Xenia Merchants Launch First Friday Celebrations (UPDATED)

The Xenia Area Merchants Association (XAMA) is pleased to announce the launch of First Fridays - a monthly celebration of our historic downtown and all it has to offer.  On the first Friday of each month this summer, participating businesses will extend their hours to 8:00 PM or later and offer a variety of free special events, activities, and refreshments.  The first First Friday event will take place on July 3rd, to be followed by similar festivities on August 7th and September 4th.  Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the work of local artists and musicians and discover some of our town's hidden treasures.

The schedule for July 3rd includes:

•    Open mike poetry and prose reading at Blue Jacket Books [60 S. Detroit]
•    Trunk Show and special sale at Xenia Shoe and Leather [21 E. Main]
•    Girls praise singers at Mary's Odds and Ends [63 E. Main]
•    Live Fashion models, makeovers, and back massages at CJ's Boutique [72 S. Detroit]
•    Radio-controlled car demos and grill-out at XTown R/C [30 E. Second St]
•    Cake Tasting at the Sweets Boutique [28 E. Second St]
•    5 cent fountain sodas and ice cream specials at the Downtown Cafe [104 N. Detroit]
