Xenia Library Announces June Programs
Exciting and fun programs for people of all ages are being planned at the Xenia Community Library, 76 East Market Street.
June Story Times
Baby Story Time for ages 6-24 months will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Monday, June 1-22, at 10 a.m. Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 4.
June Children’s Programs
Family Movie will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Monday, June 8, at 6:30 p.m. Bring the whole family for a fun film on the big screen.
A CD Suncatchers program for ages 5-12 will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Thursday, June 11, at 4 p.m. Transform an old CD into a cool suncatcher. Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 4.
A Pirates program will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Wednesday, June 17, at 2 p.m. Pirate Thomas MacGregor will sing and play traditional instruments while spinning tales about life as a pirate. Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 4.
A Crayon Creations program for ages 5-12 will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Thursday, June 18, at 4 p.m. Be amazed by all the things you can make from crayons! Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 4.
Draw on the walls at the Xenia Community Library on Friday, June 19, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Drop in and create a work of art to decorate our walls this summer!

A Collage picture frames program for ages 8-12 will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Thursday, June 25, at 4 p.m. Use clippings from magazines to create a unique picture frame. Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 4.
The Still-Life Art Studio for ages 5-12 will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Friday, June 26, from 3-5 p.m. Drop in and learn what a still-life is, then create one.
Nursery Song & Sign for ages 6-24 months will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Monday, June 29-July 20, at 10 a.m. This four-week class will use music and song to teach parents and their babies basic American Sign Language. Registration is limited and will begin June 8. Call 352.4000 x 4.
June Teen Programs
The Anime Club will meet at the Xenia Community Library on Thursday, June 4, at 4 p.m. Watch anime and discuss favorites with friends. Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 4.
An Exploding Scrapbooks program will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tuesday, June 9, at 4 p.m. Make a cool exploding scrapbook for photos and memories. Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 4.
A Movie & Games program will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tuesday, June 16, at 4 p.m. We’ll have a movie on the big screen along with the Wii, Gamecubes, and PS2. Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 4.
A Tie-Dye program will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tuesday, June 23, at 4 p.m. Bring a shirt to create a tie-dyed masterpiece. Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 4.
A Henna Tattoos program will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tuesday, June 30, at 4 p.m. Come create a henna tattoo. Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 4.
June Adult Programs
A Gardening Info program will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tuesday, June 2, at 6:30 p.m. Learn how to use the Greene County Public Library to dig up a bumper crop of gardening information. Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 3.
Adult Computer Lab will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tuesday, June 2-30, at 9:30 a.m. Practice and improve computer skills. Staff members will be available to provide individual computer assistance.
A Basic Computer Skills program will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Wednesday, June 3, at 3 p.m. People with little or no computer experience can learn the basics, including the keyboard and the mouse.
An Introduction to the Internet will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Wednesday, June 10, at 3 p.m. Learn the basics about the Internet.
The Great Kaplan, a program for all ages, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Thursday, June 11, at 7 p.m. Illusion, music, juggling and deadpan comedy collide in this vaudevillesque spectacle.
Come Search the Web at the Xenia Community Library on Wednesday, June 17, at 3 p.m. Learn to search for and evaluate information on the Internet.
A Building a Backyard Rain Garden program will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tuesday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m. Learn to create a home rain garden, transforming rainfall runoff into a resource rather than a nuisance. Presented by Master Gardener, Jerry Haun. Registration is required. Call 352-4000 x 3.
